Join this therapeutic group to receive support and be empowered to make changes so that you can thrive!

Objectives: 

  • Practice exposure and response prevention principles to face your food fears.

  • Achieve a more peaceful relationship with food and your body.

  • Learn mindful and intuitive eating skills you can use to make choices around food and eating.

  • To support individuals as they shift their relationship with their anxious thoughts, feelings and physical sensations through discussions and activities. 

  • To empower individuals to cultivate greater awareness and curiosity regarding their thoughts, feelings and physical sensations. 

  • To provide individuals with the tools using CBT, ERP, ACT and intuitive eating principles to build self-compassion and build a more peaceful relationship with OCD and food so they can thrive

Details

  • Dates: Mondays starting June 3rd for 6 consecutive weeks

  • Time: 6pm to 7:15pm ET 

  • What: Secure video conferencing 

  • Who: Adults (18+) residing in all PsyPact states.

  • Maximum of 8 participants to facilitate a friendly and shared experience

  • Early Bird Special: $65 per session when register before May 15th

  • Price after May 15th: $75 per session

Meet the Facilitators

Katie Jeffrey

Katie Jeffrey, MS, RDN, CSSD, LDN, is a registered dietitian nutritionist, a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Nutrition, a Licensed Be Body Positive Facilitator and the co-founder of the IOCDF’s OCD & Eating Disorders Special Interest Group. As a weight-neutral and Health at Every Size (HAES) dietitian nutritionist, Katie promotes a non-diet mindful and intuitive eating and fueling philosophy.

As a dietitian nutritionist, Katie empowers teenagers and adults who are struggling with anxiety and related disorders such as OCD face their food fears. Katie understands how debilitating OCD and food fears can be. Therefore, she is passionate about increasing mental health awareness to help individuals living with mental health challenges receive effective treatment and support in a timely manner.

Through her personal experiences and passion for mindful and intuitive living, fueling and eating, it is Katie’s mission to empower individuals to honor their inner wisdom, make peace with food, feel comfortable in their body, cultivate a nourishing self-care practice and enjoy a lifetime of physical and emotional resiliency. She enjoys working with individuals to bring greater awareness, curiosity and compassion to their food choices, eating behaviors, thoughts and feelings so they can nourish their bodies and minds and thrive.

Lissette Cortes

Dr. Cortes is the founder of Compassionate Healing Institute. She is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Florida and Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS). She specializes in the treatment of comorbid OCD and eating disorder conditions. Dr. Cortes is a Cognitive-Behavioral therapist by training and implements Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).  Dr. Cortes is a Health At Every Size (HAES) aligned clinician and practices from a size-inclusive and diet-rejecting perspective incorporating Intuitive Eating principles. Dr. Cortes incorporates self-compassionate practice into her work as well as ACT principles.
