Are you interested in making changes to feel your best?

I would be honored to support you in your journey!

  • I am compassionate, supportive and nonjudgmental. I provide a calm presence and meet you where you’re at. These sessions are for you. I strive to work with you, as a team, to support you on your journey to living your best life or being the best athlete, you can be.

  • During the first session, I will gather information in order to get to know you better. Typically, the initial session will also include education, tips or strategies to try and goal setting. I will send you a session recap via email with the nutrition intentions you’ve decided to focus on and experiment with.

  • This depends upon several factors such as, your current relationship food and/or your body, if you’re experiencing disordered eating or an eating disorder, how consistently you’re able to meet.

Clients get the most from their sessions when they are able to meet with me either weekly or every other week for the first four to six sessions. This frequency provides a level of support, commitment and accountability that fosters continued momentum for lasting change to occur. As a client’s knowledge, experience and wisdom increases, sessions typically become less frequent from weekly to bi-monthly to a check-in every few months.

The ultimate goal is for me to provide clients with the knowledge, tools and strategies so that they no longer require my services. However, I am always available for check-ins.

Since our lives our fluid and situations may arise where nutrition support would be helpful, some individuals find it extremely beneficial to meet with me every few months or so or when they feel support would be useful.

Individuals may also decide to work with me more frequently if their situation changes. For instance, they have a job change, they move, become a parent or if they are training for a different athletic event such as transitioning from training for 5K races to triathlons.

  • I provide both virtual HIPAA compliant (secure and confidential) telehealth sessions or in-person sessions at my office located at 12 High St. Westerly, RI.

  • The cost depends on whether I am a participating provider with your insurance company and if you decide to use insurance to pay for nutrition sessions. I am currently an in-network provider with BCBS and Aetna. I ask that potential clients contact their insurance company to ask if nutrition sessions are covered, how many are covered per calendar year, if they need to meet a deductible, and whether they have a co-pay. I can provide a form with specific questions to ask regarding insurance coverage for nutrition sessions.

  • Yes, currently I am a participating provider with BCBS and Aetna.

In the event you carry insurance that I am considered out of network for (i.e., Oxford, United Health, Cigna, Connecticare, Husky, Medicare, Medicaid) you will need to pay for your counseling session at the time of service. I am happy to provide you with a “Superbill” and/or an itemized invoice you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Reimbursement is based on your policy’s standards. Please call your insurance company’s member services number to verify how reimbursement works under your current insurance policy.

  • In the event you have a deductible I will not be able to initially bill your insurance company directly. Therefore, payment is due at the time of your visit. I will provide you will the appropriate documentation to submit to your insurance company to show receipt of the services. This will allow you to “pay down” your deductible. Once your deductible has been met and you have nutrition services on your policy, I can directly bill your insurance company.

  • I accept check (in-person payment only) Venmo (in-person payment only) or credit card. Please make checks payable to FitNutrition, LLC. If you have a flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA) or a health reimbursement arrangement (HRA), dietitian reimbursement is eligible with a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from your physician. Examples of diagnosed medical conditions include hypertension (high blood pressure), high cholesterol, obesity, eating disorder, etc.

  • Yes . . . A canceled appointment hurts three…you, me and another client.

A nutrition session is scheduled in advance and is a time reserved exclusively for you. When a session is canceled without adequate notice, I am unable to fill this time slot by offering it to another current client, or a client on the waitlist.

A 48-hour notice would be greatly appreciated. A fee of $75.00 will be charged when you miss or cancel an appointment without giving at least 24 hours advance notice. For instance, if an appointment is scheduled for 2pm on a Tuesday, notice must be given by 2pm on Monday. You may cancel your appointment by calling, emailing or texting. Please note that this charge is not covered by insurance.

The only time this fee will be waived is in the event of serious or contagious illness, extreme weather or the passing of a loved one. The missed appointment fee must be paid within one week of the missed or cancelled appointment.  Thank you for your understanding.
